Educational Activities Committee

The NAME Educational Activities Committee (EAC) offers a structured weekly educational resource for the medicolegal death investigation community. Participation is open to professionals at all career stages, including trainees, fellows, and practicing forensic pathologists. The committee reviews submitted material, selects the most educational and interesting cases, and ensures a high level of quality in case presentation. Each week, a question derived from forensic and autopsy pathology practice is distributed, followed the next week by a detailed answer and explanation. Review of both correct and incorrect responses is included to reinforce understanding and provide broader context for each topic.
The format provides consistent exposure to forensically relevant material across a range of subject areas. Topics span routine case interpretation, challenging gross and microscopic findings, and less commonly encountered situations seen in medicolegal practice.
Submissions are not limited to NAME EAC members. Anyone with a relevant case or topic is welcome to contribute or discuss published cases by contacting us at [email protected].
